At that time, at 1 o’clock in the night, a meeting was held with senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister. After the meeting, we were assured that we will get about 6 seats in the assembly elections. Can be given, but when the Congress list came, they declared candidates on our won seats also. Under compulsion, socialists have to contest elections in their strong areas, understanding the sentiments of the workers. Samajwadi Party candidates are fielded only on those seats. But we will fight where our organization is and from where we want to defeat the BJP.”
